My professional activities are focused on International Education, and teaching with technology. I am a co-founder (with Linda Fujikawa) of the International Cafe, a student-centered, service-driven place for students to share language, culture and friendship. In Spring 2003, our program won the Promising Practices in International Education Award from the American Council on International and Intercultural Education.
I have also been an unofficial WebCT mentor for teachers new to the technology, and co-taught (with Ann Ching and Kris Lambert) a WebCT workshop for newbies for several semesters.
On a personal level, I am involved in my children's school and extra-curricular activities. I like to paint watercolor when I have time.
